Good News!
National ARVC has finalized their agreement with ASCAP and BMI licensing corporations, and have worked out a separate discount program with SESAC. Many of you have been contacted by these music licensing companies (also known as PROs, or Performance Rights Organizations). As you probably already know, if you play any type of music for your campers or in your public areas, licenses from these providers ARE required by law. This new agreement will allow you to purchase these licenses at a significantly reduced rate – saving you hundreds of dollars a year, and guaranteeing that your park is in compliance and “legally” allowed to play music. This special pricing is only available to ARVC members, and in many cases, the savings will cover your Florida ARVC membership dues. Another big plus is that under the new agreement, once you purchase through ARVC, the music licensing companies (PROs) will stop contacting you directly and you will be placed on a “Do Not Contact” list.
Paul Bambei (ARVC CEO and Executive Director) has been working on these tedious negotiations for a long time now, and will be announcing this successful agreement later this week.
